Hey everyone, I just realized I haven’t really talked about my pregnancy here yet. So, here’s the scoop – we’re having a baby boy! We wanted to know the gender, but at the 20-week scan, the baby wasn’t cooperating. Since I’m considered high-risk this time, I get extra scans, and at one of them, we found out it’s a boy. I had a feeling it was a boy, and so did my husband, Tom.
Now, onto boys vs. girls. From what I’ve heard, boys can be more laid-back and loving, while girls might be a bit more demanding. Of course, every child is different, but that seems to be the general consensus.
I’ve been warned about more diaper changes and pee accidents with boys, and I’ve already noticed that girls’ clothing options seem more fun and varied compared to boys’ stuff. But thankfully, we have some unisex items from my daughter, Margot, and some great hand-me-downs too.
This pregnancy has been different for me, and I haven’t talked about it much. I’ve been busy with other things, but I’m trying to focus on staying healthy. I feel a bit guilty about not being more baby-focused, but we’re dealing with a lot right now.
As for preparations, I’m starting to batch cook, declutter the house, and make room for the baby. We’re rearranging rooms, moving my daughter to a new space, and setting up a garden office for me. It’s a lot to do, but we’re planning most of it for after the baby arrives.
