Inside Taraji P. Henson’s Home Lies a Fully-Equipped Nail Salon

If you’re not a fan of the word "pampering," then Taraji P. Henson might not be the best person to chat with. This talented actor takes her beauty routines very seriously. She loves to indulge in fragrant body washes, creams, and oils daily. Plus, she changes up her manicure every week and even uses an airbrush tool in her skincare routine. If you’ve seen any of Taraji’s characters on screen, like Shug Avery in The Color Purple or Lauren in Think Like a Man, you’ll notice they all have a touch of glamour—just like Taraji herself in real life. "I love to luxuriate. That’s my favorite word," she admits.

Taraji is now on a mission to help women everywhere add a bit of luxury to their lives through her beauty brand, TPH by Taraji (currently only available in the US). "We women are always so busy taking care of everyone else in the family… but who’s taking care of us? Who’s pouring into us?" Taraji points out. "I realized that we need to change this narrative." The brand offers body and hair care products designed to be used together in a routine.

At first glance, Taraji’s aromatic five-step body and hair routines might seem like a lot, but she views them as essential self-care steps. "I actually look forward to washing my hair now, and these steps force me to slow down," she explains.

Taraji delves deeper into her beauty practices, shedding light on the spa technique she incorporates into her skincare routine and the personalized nail salon she’s set up at home.

When it comes to her hair, Taraji washes it every week. If she’s rocking a protective style, she gives it some extra attention, using a scalp scrub—typically her Never Salty Scalp Scrub.
